Put Vaycast on a TV
Vaycast plays in a web browser, so any screen that can open a website can run it. Open a browser on the screen and go to app.vaycast.com/player, then type the code it shows into the Screens tab.
Amazon Fire TV / Fire Stick (easiest, about $35)
From the Fire TV home screen, search for Silk Browser (free, by Amazon) and install it. Open it and go to app.vaycast.com/player.
Smart TV (Samsung, LG, etc.)
Open the TV's built-in web browser (often called Internet or Web Browser) and go to app.vaycast.com/player. If your TV has no browser, use a Fire Stick.
Computer or laptop with a monitor
Open Chrome, go to app.vaycast.com/player, then press F11 for fullscreen. Great for a spare laptop driving a display.
Raspberry Pi (about $35, always-on)
Open Chromium and go to app.vaycast.com/player. Ideal for a permanent install.
Roku
Roku has no web browser, so it cannot run Vaycast. Use a Fire Stick or Raspberry Pi instead.
Make your slides fill the screen
Vaycast fits each slide to the screen without cropping, so design your slides to match the screen's shape and they will fill it edge to edge.
Landscape TV (normal, on its side)
Make slides 1920 x 1080 pixels (16:9, "Full HD"). This is the standard for a TV mounted the normal way.
Portrait TV (turned vertical, like a poster)
Make slides 1080 x 1920 pixels (tall). Then set that screen to Portrait in its settings below the code, and Vaycast rotates the picture to fill the vertical screen.
Crop to fill the screen
Drag to move, zoom to frame it. It saves at the exact screen size so it fills edge to edge, no bars.
